Who we are

AllTrek (the "App") is an itinerary planning tool for hikers and trekkers, available at alltrek.app and as a mobile app on iOS and Android. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and authentication tokens, used to sign you in and sync your treks across devices.
• Trek content: itineraries, daily stages, waypoints, route geometry, packing lists, budget entries, and notes that you create.
• Location (mobile app only): your device's GPS position while you are actively using map or tracking features. See "Location data" below.
• Technical data: crash reports and basic device information (OS version, app version) used to diagnose problems.

We do not sell personal data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not build behavioral profiles of you.

Location data

On the mobile app, AllTrek can request access to your device location for two purposes:

• Foreground location: to show your current position on the map while you are using the app, so you can see where you are along the route.
• Background location: only while you have actively started "Tracking" for a trek, so we can record your hike even when the screen is off or the app is in the background. A persistent notification will indicate that tracking is active. You can stop tracking at any time from inside the app.

Your recorded track is stored on your device and synced to your AllTrek account so it is available across your devices. We never share your location with third parties. You can revoke location permission at any time in your phone's system settings.

How we store and process data

Account data and trek content are stored in our backend (Lovable Cloud / Supabase, hosted in the EU). Access is restricted via row-level security, so only you (and people you explicitly share a trek with) can read your treks. We retain data for as long as your account exists; deleting your account deletes the associated trek content within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Under GDPR you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
